Designer Spotlight: Kamie Rudisill
Today, Kamie Rudisill is in our Designer Spotlight talking with AFB and founder Jenny Morgan about designing through AFB and more.

Jenny: If you ever read about finding success as an artist, a common theme is “find your own style and stick to it.” Kamie has got that down pat. Her style is totally her own, you always know when something was created by Kamie. Her style is whimsical, full of wonder and colorful. We love her work and envision it on kids’ bedding, accessories, tableware, fabric…well, pretty much anything!
AFB: What’s your Favorite Project you’ve worked on with AFB?
Kamie: My favorite project for AFB was definitely the Surtex 2012 preparation. I loved making my designs into patterns! I am primarily an illustrator so pattern-making lets me focus on my art work and color so I can let my creative side take over and play!!!
AFB: Design(s) You’re Most Proud of that you’ve done for AFB to-date?
Kamie: I’m most proud of patterns I’ve designed for Surtex and the AFB Art Marketplace

More About Kamie
AFB: Do you have a favorite celebration?
Kamie: Yes, my favorite celebrations are probably my children’s birthdays. I have 3 girls and I tend to do at-home, “home-made” parties. We have had everything from a spa party and a tea party for girls and their dolls, a “fun-due” (fondue) party, a project-runway party, a decorate-your-own-cake party, mermaids & pirates, bingo, fairies & more!!
Along with birthdays, going on vacation with my family is a celebration…we have so much fun together! I especially LOVE the beach. I grew up going to our beach house in Bethany Beach, DE and now my Mom has a house on Sanibel Island, FL and we go there as often as we can to visit.

AFB: Do you have a favorite candy or treat?
Kamie: Oh yes, my favorite treat is probably peppermint patties and diet coke (an addictive combination!)
