Designer Spotlight: Erin Dorholt
Today, Erin Dorholt is in the spotlight and talks with AFB and founder Jenny Morgan about designing through AFB and more.
Jenny: Erin Dorholt is an amazing Chicago based designer who has a fun, bright style and until this week, was a full-time in-house designer for Sears. Erin is taking the brave leap into the world of full-time freelancing, and she is looking forward to devoting more time to AFB projects. We’re excited about this, too. Erin designed our very own Liza + Leo, our cracker-jack pattern scouts we introduced in last week’s post, and we can’t wait to see what else Erin has up her creative sleeves.
AFB: Favorite Project You’ve Worked on with AFB?
Erin: Designs for the AFB Art Marketplace! I’m really excited about this new avenue for buyers to see our work.
AFB: Design(s) Your Most Proud of that you’ve done for AFB to-date?
Erin: The designs I’m most proud of thus far are patterns I’ve designed for the Art Marketplace–for the Summer, Birthday, Nature and Geometric categories and my first photo card (something I haven’t done before and is still a work-in-progress)

Erin’s favorite candy: “pretty much anything combining dark chocolate and coconut”
Erin: “My dog, Maesie, is my main inspiration. I don’t think I’d ever be able to create a product or pattern as adorable as she is!”
