When you design with A Fresh Bunch, you become part of A Fresh Bunch University.

Here’s how it works:

AFB finds the companies that need art for their products.  Each company becomes a project, or often, multiple projects.  Each project becomes a course within A Fresh Bunch University.  Member designers take courses for each project they want to work on, getting training, art direction and feedback from the AFB team and fellow designers.  Instruction is at your own pace, but there is homework and deadlines that correspond with each client’s needs.  At the end of each course, work gets graded and the best work is submitted to the client for consideration.  Work accepted by the client earns a royalty, and designers get paid.

Prerequisites for application :

• a portfolio where we can view your work
• the ability to work in Illustrator CS5 and preferably InDesign CS5 and Photoshop CS5

Tuition:

• $150 per year
• take as many or as few courses as you want

Accepted designers get:

• access to licensing projects for a variety of clients and applications
• access to a course for each project that includes training, art direction and feedback
• trend reports and mood boards to keep them on top of all the latest design trends
• a forum for advice from and camaraderie with fellow designers
• (coming soon) a designer bio & portfolio page on the AFB website
• represention at Surtex
