Shopping Around the Farmers Market

In the midwest, we not only look forward to the warm temperatures, but the fantastic fruits and veggies that summer brings!   Fortunately, we have many areas nearby that host weekly Farmers Markets where local farmers bring their fresh produce to sell to us suburbanites.  This week, we stopped by our town’s seasonal market and were instantly captured by the pints of just-picked peaches and entranced by the endless tables full of farm-fresh goodies.  Take a gander at all the yummy stuff we loaded our wagon with and you’ll see plenty of reasons why we think summer is splendid…
