Designer Spotlight: Laura Mitzelfelt

Today Laura Mitzelfelt is in the spotlight and talks with AFB and founder Jenny Morgan about designing through AFB and more.

Jenny: Laura is one of those designers who is so prolific that I sometimes wonder if she sleeps!  Above is a map Laura designed for one of our Art Marketplace promotional pieces (we’re not ready to show you the whole thing yet, but you’ll be seeing snippets over the next two weeks – it’s fantastic).  We put out a call to our designers for some specific art that we could bring together in one larger piece, and in less time than it takes me to make my morning coffee, Laura had come up with this fantastic map.  The continents are all filled with pattern that will be available for instant license and download in the Art Marketplace once it launches, and the map really exemplifies AFB – that we make it easy to license art from hand-picked design talent from around the globe.  That Laura designed the map is really fitting because she is quite the world traveler!

Laura:  My favorite celebration is the beginning of summer…Hair gets lighter.  Skin gets darker. Water gets warmer. Drinks get colder. Music gets louder. Nights get longer.  Life gets better!
